traditional/non-traditional

The circle samples are the first one I made on silk using watery dye and batic. The first sample has white marks on because I used batic first instead of dying the fabric first.

On the second ones I also use black too colour in the shapes made by batic and on the other I screen printed over it with black. So that less of the colour comes through.




 these are the paper that was under the silk as I was doing the two samples above. I just had to paint some dye over it and finished.

I aslo tried it out on wood and metal which I think that it works better on wood. But unfortunatly batic doesn't work on most of the non-traditionals mateials.
